Adventures | Kawela Bay

A few days ago my boyfriend and I headed down to the North Shore of Oahu with our 2 Bostons, Lila and Elvis.  Even though we live on the beautiful island of Hawaii, we are not regular beach goers.  This adventure, however, sparked tons of inspiration in me.  That day was the most relaxed I've felt in a such a long time.  I will definitely indulge in beach adventures more often.

Since I loathe overcrowded beaches, we always opt for the more secluded and neglected ones.  Kawela Bay has easily become one of my favorite places to go to on the North Shore.  You can see why in these pictures taken by Bee, my boyfriend.

Essie | DJ play that song

"Jam-miest neon-plum."

This polish is part of essie's Neons 2013 collection, which includes a total of 6 mega bright colors.  DJ play that song is without a doubt THE most gorgeous shade of purple I've ever seen.  It's such a fun, feminine color that kind of makes you feel like a flirt.

Not the cleanest paint job, but the color is undeniably fabulous.

Essie recommends the use of a white base coat before you apply bright neon polishes, which makes sense if you want your color to really POP.  I skipped this step, however, and went straight into applying 3 coats.  I finished with essie's 'good to go' top coat.
